Sheikh Isa Bin Abdullah Almalla Presented The Dada Saheb Phalke Icon Films International Award 2024 to Ustad Kamal Sabri, as an Iconic World Music Artist and Composer of the Year 2024 for his song ‘Dil Da Jaani’. In the presence of other distinguished guests such as Mr. Tirath Singh Rawat (former CM of Uttarakhand), the International President of Isckon, and Indian movie star Ms. Minakshi Sheshahdri. The Chief Guest of the evening was Mr. Prem Chand Bairwa, Deputy CM of Rajasthan.
Ustad Kamal Sabri has received numerous accolades for his contributions to music and culture, such as the World Music Artist of the Year 2023 Award in Uzbekistan, Iconic Sarangi Exponent and Composer of the Year 2023 for the song ‘Sajna Mein’ by MID-DAY Icons of India Award in Mumbai, and the Nashville Music City Award in the USA. He was also honored with a Gold Medal at the Global Music Awards in Los Angeles, the Outstanding Achievement in Performing Arts Award by GOPIO International in the USA, recognition by the Mayor of New York for Outstanding Contribution in World Music, and an Honorary Doctorate in Music from Mother Teresa University in Melbourne, Australia.
Other recipients of the Dadasaheb Phalke Icon Awards included Ms. Jayashri Chintalapudi (Iconic Entrepreneur of the Year 2024 from the USA, Panzer and board of International Museum of The Saree), Mr. Mangesh Wadagale (Iconic Bollywood Singer), Mr. Lal Motwani (Lifetime Achievement Award), Ms. Ashvini Persaud (All-Round Champion: Designer, Writer, Founder, Producer from USA and Guyana), Mr. Samuel Hinds (Ambassador of Guyana in the USA) and Mrs. Yvonne Hinds, Mr. Manjinder Singh (Dubai), Mr. Dolli Chaiwala, and others.
The event featured a historic and creative exhibit with mascots on display by pop-up museums, including the International Museum of The Saree and the Green Fashion, Art & Design Museum.”
